Indian recruit Sunil Chhetri netted a hat-trick for his new club Kansas City Wizards as the reserves defeated the University of Evansville 5-0 on the weekend.

The former Dempo SC striker scored all three of his goals in the second half as the Wizards reserves controlled proceedings to ease to victory.

Chhetri has obviously brought his prolific I-League and Indian national team scoring form with him and it will be interesting to see if he is given an early opportunity to make his first team debut in the next week or so.

Chhetri officially signed with the Wizards last month after spending the past eight years in his native India.
