Sung-Yeung sought Ji-Sung Park advice before Celtic move

Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung took advice about playing in Britain from Manchester United winger Ji-Sung Park prior to his move to Scotland. Ki has not yet established himself as a first choice in Hoops boss Tony Mowbray's line-up, but is willing to be patient.

"[Ji-Sung] Park told me I must be ready to play for Celtic, even if I'm not in the first-team," Ki revealed, according to STV.

"In his first year at PSV [Eindhoven] he didn't get a chance so you have to be patient. He kept working and started to play in his second season.

"Then he won the move to Manchester United so he's talking from experience. I need to take his advice on board."

"It's important to play for Celtic regularly ahead of the World Cup," he added.

"[South] Korea have a friendly against the Ivory Coast in London next month. We're playing Nigeria in the World Cup so we must prepare against African teams. It will be a good experience for all the players.

"However, right now Celtic come first and the World Cup second because we have to win the league.

"There have been a lot of changes so we need some time to organise our team. The new players are trying hard but one month isn't a lot of time for everyone to adapt."
