Sunderland fullback Ross Wallace isn't getting downhearted after missing out on the Scotland squad last week.

"I'm disappointed to miss out with Scotland again, but I will just have to keep plugging away with Sunderland and make sure I'm playing well," said Wallace.

"You just have to persevere. Liam Miller has shown that if you keep working hard, you can get what you want and it was good to see him get called into the Ireland squad this week. That gives me belief that I can achieve the things I want to achieve.

"He has waited a long time, like me. I just have to do the same thing. Keep playing well for Sunderland and wait for the chance to come."
