Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson admits he had ambitions of being an cartoonist when younger.

"When I was younger I wanted to draw comics and cartoons, and work for Disney. When I finish football it is something I will definitely consider," said the ex-Manchester United trainee.

"At United I did a piece in a school and Sir Alex Ferguson liked it and put it up in his office.

"It was a landscape drawing of all the buildings around Manchester in blue wax crayon.

"It is an honour to think of it up there in his office, even if I am not there any more. He must have liked it!"
