Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy has special motivation to beat Tottenham in this weekend's Premiership opener - he's an Arsenal fan!

"The season is just round the corner and the excitement is starting to build. This is what we have been working towards for the last five or six weeks," said Nosworthy.

"Tottenham is a great game to start with. It's a big test for us because people are talking about them breaking into the top four.

"I'm an Arsenal fan as well so I have double reason for wanting to beat Tottenham. We'll respect Spurs but we won't fear them. The season will be a big challenge for us but we're up for it. This is our first home game and we believe we can get points from it."
