Sunderland outcast Graham Kavanagh admits that a permanent move to Carlisle United would appeal to him.
The midfielder, who moved to Brunton Park on a one-month 'emergency' loan last week, has accepted that he is not part of Roy Keane's plans and is looking to impress for the League One side.
"I certainly wouldn't be averse to signing permanently for Carlisle but it is early days," he said. "At the moment I'm here for a month and we'll discuss it again, presumably, in three weeks and see what happens.
"My contract is up at Sunderland in the summer. I just hope the next few weeks bring results and changes everyone's mood around the club."
