Sunderland midfielder Dickson Etuhu was reportedly arrested last weekend.

The new Nigeria international was taken into custody in the early hours of Sunday after an alleged incident in Mercy nightclub. He was released on bail the following morning, reports the Eastern Daily Press. A police source told the EDP: "Dickson was in the club with a friend unwinding after the game. There was a confrontation after some kind of argument. One of the issues that is being looked at is the element of provocation leading up to the fight."
