Sunderland winger Carlos Edwards is steering clear of a club v country row with Trinidad & Tobago.
Edwards was named along with clubmate Kenwyne Jones in the T&T squad for a friendly with Jamaica on March 26. If they travel, it's likely they won't be back on Wearside in time for the March 29 clash with West Ham.
"It's out of my hands.
"I'm employed by Sunderland, but the Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation want me to go there.
"To be fair to Sunderland, they are looking out for their well-being and my well-being because I haven't played competitive football for a while.
"I hope the T&T FF understand that.
"But I'm just going to sit tight and hopefully Sunderland and T&T will come to an agreement and we can all smile about it."
