Sunderland youngster Noble extends Carlisle stay

Sunderland midfielder Liam Noble has extended his loan at Carlisle United to the end of the season.

Noble has already made two appearances for the Cumbrians and started in the holding role in midfield in the 4-0 JPT victory over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

Manager Greg Abbott told Carlisle's website: "Liam has a fantastic attitude and he has really impressed us with the way that he has settled since he got here.

"He showed us what he can bring to the side on Tuesday night and we're delighted that we've got him here until the end of the season.

"He has brought something a bit different and that is important for us as we go into a vital stage of the campaign."
