Sunderland youngster McClean hoping to push on after debut

Sunderland's James McClean is looking to kick on after making his Premier League debut on the weekend.

The 22-year old Northern Ireland midfielder came on late in the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday and is now keen to get more experience in the top flight with the Black Cats.

"My mindset won't change," he told Sunderland's official website. "I always try to improve every week and will continue doing that.

"I've made my debut but it's just one game and I have to keep getting better.

"We can look forward to Spurs with confidence. My debut is out of the way now and hopefully I can carry on playing."
