Sunderland youngster Louis Laing caught the eye for the reserves in their 3-1 victory over Chelsea this week.

Laing, a centre-half, was making only his second appearance at that level.

Coach Keith Bertschin told safc.com: "It was a fantastic bit of experience for the young boy.

"He's been playing in midfield for the youth team but we slotted him back in at centre half and he did well."
