Sunderland's Spanish midfielder Alex Gorrin is open to a loan move away this season.

But Gorrin says he would be open to treading a similar path, he says he has to develop his game first.

"That would be something that would interest me but first I have to be an important player in the reserves," he told safc.com.

"Pre-season has been hard so far but you need that to be fit and ready for the season.

"We are all looking forward to the friendlies which are more about getting fit and ready than the results."
