Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is holding back Connor Wickham.

An injury to Steven Fletcher forced Sunderland to recall Wickham from his loan at Sheffield Wednesday.

Wickham will provide cover for Jozy Altidore and Ignacio Scocco, which means - for the time being, at any rate - there is no prospect of him being allowed to rejoin the Owls on an emergency loan deal.
