Sunderland won't let strike-pair leave on-loan

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce refuses to consider sending anymore of his players away on-loan.

The Journal says there was speculation over the weekend that Northern Ireland striker David Healy could be on his way to West Brom but that has been played down by sources in the West Midlands.

Although both Healy and fellow striker Daryl Murphy need to leave to get first-team football, Bruce is not prepared to loan them out because his squad can not afford too many more injuries.
