Sunderland winger James McClean has revealed he's dropping his social media habits.

McClean was hammered during the week by Republic of Ireland coaching staff and teammates after blasting Giovanni Trapattoni last Friday.

"It was idiotic and a bit frustrating from me but now I want to put the matter behind me," said McClean after his 30-minute runout against Oman. "At the end of the day, I am human like anybody else and showed my frustration. I have learned from it. I have stopped tweeting, Facebook and all them social networking sites."
