Sunderland winger Sebastian Larsson has enjoyed the first week of preseason training.
The Swede is happy playing for manager Paolo di Canio.
"The boys have shown an excellent attitude so far, and that's what you'd expect from everyone," Larsson told safc.com.
"It's been tough but good; we've been working a lot physically but also on the technical and tactical side too."
He added: "The intensity is up there. We've been training twice a day and training hard.
"The players realise it's only going to benefit us and ultimately the team."
