Sunderland winger Billy Knott is open to signing permanently with loan club Port Vale.

Knott's deal with Sunderland expires in June.

"I just want to give everything in the last four games and earn a contract here or elsewhere. Contracts aren't just given out, they have to be earned. I certainly don't want to be waiting until the end of June to sort out my future," he told The Sentinel.
