Sunderland winger Adam Johnson appeared in court on Friday at a pre-trial hearing on child sex charges, reports Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old England international attended proceedings at Bradford Crown Court.

Johnson has been charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming.

He has previously denied the charges. He will go on trial at the same court in February.
