Sunderland winger Jordan Henderson was delighted with his brace in victory over Wigan Athletic.
The 20-year-old midfielder scored twice and produced a fine display to help his side reverse a one-goal deficit to beat the Latics 4-2 on Wearside.
"Today was a massive game for us and we showed a lot of character to come from 1-0 down to win 4-2," he told safc.com.
"All the lads are looking forward to next week's game already and hopefully we can kick on from here."
The game was poised at 1-1 when Henderson took proceedings by the scruff of the neck.
His diagonal run opened up the Wigan defence and the midfielder gave his side the lead with a sizzling shot from 10 yards which left visiting keeper Ali Al Habsi helpless.
"I got the ball from Sulley and the touch managed to take it past the defender; luckily I was able to get my shot away," he recalled.
"It was a great feeling to see the ball hit the back of the net, particularly in such a big game."
