Sunderland winger Giaccherini happy with Di Canio approach

Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini is happy playing for manager Paolo di Canio.

Giaccherini, currently on duty with Italy, said it was countryman Di Canio who lured him to Wearside.

"Di Canio is like Conte, the Juve manager, and I feel good with him," explained Giaccherini.

"I'm happy with the choice I made, even if I had to give up a top club like Juve. To leave Juventus was a tough decision, but I decided to choose Sunderland to have more opportunity to play regularly.

"I'm happy with Sunderland and we deserved to win the first match against Fulham."
