Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini admits Juventus coach Antonio Conte didn't want him sold.

Giaccherini left Juve in the summer for Sunderland.

"My farewell to Juve? If it was up to Conte, I would not have been sold.

"But the club has accepted the offer from Sunderland. I was put up against the wall: it was an important economic proposal, Juventus has not objected and they let me go."
