Sunderland and Wigan Athletic are willing to meet Everton's £10 million asking price for striker Andy Johnson.
The Daily Mail says in Wigan's favour is that Johnson, who travelled with Everton last night for the start of their pre-season preparations in Switzerland, would prefer to stay in the north west.
