Everton face competition for Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The Sunderland Chronicle says Sunderland are understood to have watched Torino centre-back Ogbonna in Serie B action again Vicenza last Saturday.

They join Everton and possibly West Ham as potential suitors for the Italy Under-21 international, who turns 22 today.

Ogbonna - born in Italy to Nigerian parents - has blossomed at Torino over the last two seasons after a loan spell as a teenager in Serie C.
