Sunderland hope for an answer from Liverpool by tomorrow over Fabio Borini's situation.

The Northern Echo says the Black Cats have agreed a £14million deal with the Reds for the Italian striker, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.

Borini has been in the United States with Liverpool, where he picked up a shoulder injury, and while it's reckoned he had been hoping to stay at Anfield and fight for his place, he is likely to be allowed to leave - with Sunderland the only side to meet Liverpool's valuation.
