Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill says the club is still waiting on news regarding Lee Cattermole's injury.
The midfielder injured his knee late last week prior to Saturday's 2-1 loss at Everton, which kept him out of the match, and he will now undergo a scan to assess the extent of the problem.
"Lee hurt himself (on Friday)," said O'Neill.
"He hurt his knee in a training session and will have a scan at the beginning of the week."
