Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson is eyeing an England recall.
The former Manchester United man, 25, was capped twice by Sven Goran Eriksson in 2005.
But that was before he became a left-back, a spot he knows is up for grabs as cover for Ashley Cole.
He said: "England is a realistic target, definitely, and playing at left-back gives me that chance.
"What happened in the World Cup with England will hopefully get the manager to consider giving a few new faces a chance."
