Sunderland upset with Palace asking price for Clyne

Sunderland are unimpressed by Crystal Palace's asking price for Nathaniel Clyne.

Sunderland were last night astounded to find a £5million price tag slapped on Clyne.

The Black Cats have made a £3m bid for the Crystal Palace defender, 18, but boss Neil Warnock believes Clyne is equal to Sheffield United's Kyle Naughton.

He said: "Naughton's on the move to Everton for £5m and that valuation is right. But Clyne is as good if not better."
