Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is finding his transfer plans lost in translation.
The People says Poyet knows he must buy in January if the Black Cats are to have any chance of surviving.
But he is in the dark about potential signings - because of a language problem.
The Black Cats' director of football Roberto De Fanti and his chief scout - and fellow Italian - Valentino Angeloni, have set up a player-spotting network made up almost exclusively of scouts from their own country.
As a result, all reports on possible signings are emailed back to the club in Italian - which is double Dutch to Spanish and English-speaking Poyet.
