Sunderland are ready to make a club record bid for PSV Eindhoven winger Georginio Wijnaldum.

PSV are prepared to sell the Dutchman this summer, with Zenit St Petersburg also interested.

De Telegraaf says Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is a big fan of Wijnaldum and given his approval to bid for the winger.

A club record €20 million bid has been mooted, so to see off competition from Zenit and Newcastle United.

Wijnaldum struck 14 goals last season and is tied to PSV until 2018.
