Sunderland will hold a minute's applause at their season opener for the memory of Bradley Lowery.
The six-year old Black Cats fan, who earlier this month lost his battle with neuroblastoma, captured the hearts of football fans across the world, and he will now be remembered with the pre-match tribute.
Sunderland chief executive Martin Bain said: "Bradley had the most amazing impact on our club and the wider football community.
"It is fitting that we can come together at our first league game of the new season to pay tribute to this wonderful little boy, whose love for Sunderland was evident for all to see."
