Sunderland target Onuoha wants Man City stay

Nedum Onuoha wants to stay with Manchester City.

The Sunday Mirror says Onuoha has told team-mates at Sunderland he will reject a £6million permanent move to fight for his place at Manchester City.

The defender has been on a season-long loan at the Stadium of Light after Roberto Mancini deemed him surplus to requirements at Eastlands.

And the 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign under Steve Bruce, making 31 appearances and scoring a dazzling solo goal in the 3-0 win over Chelsea.
