Sunderland have made an offer for Juventus fullback Paolo de Ceglie.
De Ceglie, who can play at left-back and in midfield, is the subject of a €4.5 million offer from Sunderland this week, says TuttoJuve.com.
Black Cats boss Paolo di Canio rates De Ceglie highly and hopes to bring him to Wearside in time for the Premier League kickoff this weekend.
