Sunderland have been left sweating on Fraizer Campbell's foot injury.

Boss Martin O'Neill is keeping his fingers crossed that there is no serious damage that could keep the 25-year-old out for an extended period.

"Fraizer has gone for an X-ray because there was a stamp on his foot and it was very sore," he said.

"I say stamp, but it could well have been an accident - I meant his foot was trodden on."
