Sunderland striker Connor Wickham was pleased with his goal scoring performance in the draw with Aston Villa.
And the England under-21 international manages to put emotion to one side once the action begins, admitting he feels right at home on the field of play.
"I get more nervous in training than I do playing," said Wickham, speaking to SAFC TV after the Villa game.
"I even get more nervous doing appearances and shooting with little kids in goal than playing out on the pitch.
"I don't know what it is.
"I feel nervous in the car on the way to the ground but once I get there it's just excitement. Once I get to the ground and see the set-up and all the lads I feel more relaxed.
"It's just a case of knowing that you've just got to go out there and do what you do."
