Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn is pleased to have extended his loan with Leicester City until the end of the season.
Promoted from League One last season, the Foxes find themselves firmly in the play-off mix with an intriguing few months in store.
"We are battling up around the top of the league and I'm really enjoying the challenge of playing in the Championship," Waghorn told safc.com.
"Obviously it took a few games to get used to the pace but I knew what it was like from when I was on loan with Charlton last season.
"Those were difficult times but things are better here. I'm enjoying being here and I'm learning every day."
Waghorn has made 21 appearances in all so far, building on a short spell with Charlton last season and garnering valuable first-team experience alongside of the division's most experienced operators.
"It's been great to learn from players like Steve Howard and Matty Fryatt," he said. "Steve's a very strong player while Matty's an out-and-out scorer.
"I feel like I'm improving both sides of my game, particularly holding the ball up and holding players off."
