The Swedish international striker Rade Prica is just a year into a three-and-a-half year contract, but already it seems his time with Sunderland is up, reports the Evening Chronicle. Now it seems his old club Aalborg is ready to take him back, although two British clubs are also believed to have shown interest in the 28-year-old.
Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia said: "Rade has to start thinking about playing football soon.
"He has had a little knock which has not helped his cause in terms of getting a move, but it is only a minor thing.
"We are trying to do right by him - we have brought him back into training with the rest of the players again and he has done well.
"Again you are speaking about who is ahead of you in the squad and you have to be realistic.
"I have tried to say that to the players who are going to struggle to get into the side and he is aware of the situation.
"He wants to go, but whether it turns out to be a loan or a permanent move, I don't know.
"There have been three clubs who have shown an interest in him - two from over here and one from abroad - and we will just see where it goes."
