Sunderland striker Ryan Noble is determined to make the most of his loan with Hartlepool United.

Noble made his debut in last night's defeat to Oldham Athletic.

"I came here to score goals and to miss a couple of chances is hard to take because that's my game, that's my job, " he told the Sunderland Echo.

"I thought I did well overall but that counts for nothing because the team got beat and I'm not happy about that.

"I've come here to score and not to do that on my debut is disappointing. I'll be thinking about that over the next couple of days.

"I'll prove that I'm the man to stop this talk of five, six hours without a goal."
