Sunderland striker James Vaughan was grateful to Everton fans for his welcome back this week.
Vaughan was back at Goodison last night for the first time since he lined up against Sunderland in January 2010.
He was on the receiving end of a 3-0 defeat, but appreciated the ovation he was given by the Blues fans who remembered his 100 per cent commitment throughout his Everton career.
"Result aside I really enjoyed going back to Everton," he tweeted. "Thanks to all the fans for the great reception. It meant the world to me."
