Asamoah Gyan was left frustrated by Sunderland's defeat to Tottenham.
The Ghanaian hitman scored his second goal in as many games to fire Sunderland into the lead against Spurs, but the men from North London hit back to claim the points with a 2-1 win.
"The goal was great but it means nothing because we did not win the game," he told safc.com.
"We did so well for long spells and conceded silly goals like we did at Stoke. But that is part of the game.
"We keep losing after going ahead and that's why it's so frustrating. We are playing good football but losing because of set pieces.
"Sometimes that happens in football. I am not blaming anybody. We have to make sure we concentrate at all times and if we do that we will be fine."
