Sunderland stint a great experience admits Philadelphia Union's Farfan

Philadelphia Union midfielder Michael Farfan says his recent training stint with English Premier League club Sunderland certainly came of benefit.

The 23-year old spent two weeks with the Black Cats last month and has since returned to Philadelphia with some priceless knowledge picked up during his time in England's North East.

"It was nice to live out there and see what it's like," Farfan told MLSsoccer.com. "On every channel, there's soccer being played. I'm glad I had the opportunity to do it.

"I talked to them (the players) pretty much every day in the locker room. They had questions about MLS and I had questions for them. They asked what the level is like, what the atmosphere is like. [I told them] our place is awesome and Philadelphia is the place to be."

And Farfan added that one day he would love to get the chance to take his ever-improving game to soccer's heartland of Europe.

"Everyone has a dream of one day playing in Europe," Farfan added. "I think at some point it would be nice to go over there and live out the dream."
