Sunderland skipper Lee Cattermole has cancelled his summer holidays to be fit for Paolo di Canio's first preseason.
Cattermole, recovering from knee surgery, has had to watch from the stands as the Black Cats have taken maximum points from Paolo Di Canio's last two games.
He said: "It's no golf or summer holidays for me.
"I'm just looking forward to getting back next season."
