Sunderland boss Roy Keane has made former Leeds full-back Ian Harte his 10th summer signing after landing him on a free transfer.
Harte is a former team-mate of Keane, having shared the pitch with his new boss during the course of his 64-cap Republic of Ireland career.
He becomes Keane's 10th signing since the Black Cats won promotion last season and the Sunderland chief is pleased to have completed the deal.
Keane told the club's website: "I've played alongside Ian and I know his qualities he brings to our club.
"You need a big squad in the Premier League and he will add strength to ours."
