Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is confident of breaking their season ticket sales record for their Premiership return.

"We are flying," Quinn said proudly. "Season ticket sales are creeping close to 30,000, which is colossal. That's a huge statement at this stage. The most ever sold here (at the Stadium of Light) was 35,000 and we have eight weeks to achieve that. With the fixtures coming out now and the excitement generated we will give that figure a run for its money."
