Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill plans to clearout his fringe players during this summer's market.
The Sunday Sun says O'Neill will be given money to spend in the transfer market, but owner Ellis Short has told O'Neill that he must also generate cash by getting rid of players with no future on Wearside.
Asamoah Gyan and Paraguay midfielder Cristian Riveros seem certain to be on their way out, along with George McCartney.
Marcos Angeleri, Ahmed Elmohamady and Craig Gordon could also be shown the door, while the on-loan trio of Nicklas Bendtner, Wayne Bridge and Sotirios Kyrgiakos will also return to their clubs at the end of the season.
