Sunderland seek Sheffield Utd, Leeds cash for fringe players

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is ready to clearout his fringe players in January.

Bruce has struggled in 2010 trying to offload his reserve players because of their high wages.

But the Daily Mail says Bruce is expecting Andy Reid and Nyron Nosworthy to join Sheffield United permanently, despite their change in manager.

He is also looking to tie up a permanent move to Leeds United for George McCartney.
