Sunderland scout Chisholm checks on Austrian pair Hinteregger, Dragovic

Austrian pair Martin Hinteregger and Aleksandar Dragovic are on Sunderland's radar.

The Sunderland Echo says Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce sent first-team scout Gordon Chisholm to watch Austria's friendly against Holland in Vienna on Saturday night.

Allardyce is understood to be a fan of Austrian centre-halves Hinteregger and Dragovic, having been linked with both during his time as West Ham United manager.

Dynamo Kiev star Dragovic started Saturday's game against Holland, and has been linked with a £12million move to both the Premier League and Bundesliga this summer.

Hinteregger spent the second half of the season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach from Red Bull Salzburg, but the Germans decided against taking up an option to sign the defender permanently in a £7.5million deal.
