Sunderland striker Connor Wickham today underwent a scan to determine the extent of the knee injury he sustained on the weekend.
The 18-year old went down with what appeared to be ligament damage during the 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford and the scan will show more accurateness to what exactly is the problem.
Wickham was starting his third league match for the Black Cats since arriving from Ipswich Town for around £8million in the summer but had to be replaced by Ji Dong-won in the fifth minute after he was stretchered off.
