Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson believes caretaker manager Ricky Sbragia can lead the Black Cats and has backed him in to get the job.
After Roy Keane departed a few weeks ago, Sunderland's performances have improved and there is more confidence around the place according to Richardson who captained the side in the 4-0 victory over West Brom on Saturday.
"I have known Ricky a long time. He was at Manchester United when I was coming up through the ranks," Richardson told the Chronicle.
"He has everyone confident and expressing themselves again. You never know, he might get the job."
