Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has congratulated Fraizer Campbell on a whirlwind week.
The 24-year old striker, who only recently returned from more than a year on the sidelines with knee injuries, made his England debut on Wednesday night when he came on for the final 10 minutes of the 3-2 loss to Holland at Wembley.
That night he also became a father when his wife gave birth to their baby daughter and O'Neill was absolutely thrilled for his promising attacker.
"It doesn't matter how long he was on the field of play, it doesn't matter how many touches he did or didn't get, that can never be taken away from him, so that's great news.
"And then, of course, his wife giving birth to a youngster, it's a great couple of days for him.""He's had an amazing couple of days, getting on and playing for England, getting a cap," he said ahead of Sunday's Tyne-Wear derby at Newcastle United.
