Sunderland winger Emanuele Giaccherini is a target for West Ham United according to recent reports.
It is believed that the Hammers are ready to offer the 28-year old Italian a lifeline to remain in the Premier League which may not be a possibility with the bottom-placed Black Cats.
The former Juventus man is unlikely to drop to the Championship and will be hoping that the Hammers stump up around £5million for his services in order to keep him in the top flight.
Reports in Italy have suggested that Genoa and Roma are keen on bringing Giaccherini back to his homeland but the 18-time Italy international apparently favours staying in England.
